Teasing, encouraging or motivating the dog to have the desire to find them is one of those roles. But it is not the only one! Being attentive during all the trail in case there are problems; having a good timing to deliver the reward to the dog at the end and being able at the same time to convey happiness for the good job during the trail are other essential aspects of the task of the runner. In addition, each dog is different and each situation will require a specific way to motivate and reward the dog.
