About Course

THIS WEBINAR WILL BE OFFFERED LIVE THE 17th JULY 2026 at 8:00PM (cet).

Lately, there’s been a lot of talk about the importance of doing double-blind trails.

Obviously, a double-blind trail is the one that ensures there is no kind of conscious influence from the guide or the accompanying people, but… does that mean they’re the only truly reliable trails because, since we don’t know the trail, we don’t influence our dogs? Of course NOT!

What’s more: do you really think you don’t influence your dog on double-blind trails with your assumptions (“I thought it went that way”), your poor reading (“I don’t think he’s working”), or your conclusions (“I think we’re off track, I’m going to stop”)?

That’s why it’s important that, before we jump into doing double-blind trails, we learn to read our dog by doing known trails first, and then start doing partial blinds, blinds with more or less help… and finally, once in a while, do a double-blind—but making sure we’ve really studied how to do them well.

In this webinar, we’ll cover (among other topics):

  • Why to do known trails and the importance of being able to read your dog
  • When to start doing blind trails and how to support your dog during them
  • The challenge of double-blind trails

What Will You Learn?

  • In this webinar, you’ll learn to train with clear criteria and to make sure that every trail you run provides a meaningful learning experience for your dog, so they feel more confident in the work they do and more capable of performing it in any circumstance.
  • You’ll also learn why it’s essential to be able to read your dog before attempting double-blind trails, and different ways to set them up without harming your dog’s motivation.
