Scent is invisible and dynamic. It does not emanate from a person as a perfectly shaped, immovable cone. Rather, it is fluid and influenced by the environment. Wind moving through the trees, the movement of cars, ambient temperature, the time of day… everything has an impact on scent, and it is important that we are aware of it—without having to become scientists.

Understanding the movement of the scent trail that our dog is following will help us better understand every movement of our dog.
